New book: THE MOVIE CATALOG (1956-1958)

COMING SOON !!

The regular visitors of this website will have noticed that it has been awfully quiet here lately. The reason for this, is that the new book that I’ve been working on for circa two years, is nearing its final stages and currently taking up all my spare time.

The book focuses on the movie memorabilia that has been produced around the world for Elvis’ first four movies (1956-1958). Spread over 490 pages, it contains over 2200 images of rare movie posters, lobby cards, pressbooks, standees, vintage advertisements, and the close to 800 numbered publicity stills that have been issued for Love Me Tender, Loving You, Jailhouse Rock and King Creole.

Hundreds and hundreds of rarities will be published for the first time, in high resolution, and accompanied by indepth background information on each item.

Keep an eye out for the book that will hopefully be published in the Spring of 2020!

(Please note that the title and the cover of the book are not yet set in stone and subject to change.)

If you have valuable information/images to share that you believe should be in a book of this kind, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me by leaving a Comment below or through the email address of the website. It goes without saying that every contributor will be credited in the book for his/her help. Thank you!

I doubt the book will reveal new information about these movies (music-song selections – scripts-casting etc). For the collectors of memorabilia it looks to be a great book. Personally I don’t collect memorabilia and/or photos. For Bob I hope this book will be very succesful.

Looks great Bob and if it’s half as good as The EPE Catalog it’ll be a winner, good luck with it, you deserve it for all the hard work you put into showing Elvis to the world.
